我国普通高校英语专业语法教学反思——以《新编英语语法教程》为例

Reflection on Grammar Teaching in English Majors of Colleges and Universities in China——Taking A New English Grammar Coursebook as an Example

语法教学曾历经由语言教学的中心地位被贬到极其次要甚至是被取消的地位,但现在其重要性又逐渐重新凸显。在我国普通高校英语专业语法教学中首先要改变观念,语法并非是一种"语言约束衣",而是一种"解放力",更是一种"交际资源"。本文以章振邦编著的《新编英语语法教程》为例,建议在实际教学中既要注重语法的系统性,更要注重教学方法的多样性以及与多门课程的融合贯通,充分调动学生学习语法的积极性,提高语法能力,真正实现语法作为"交际资源"的作用。

Teaching grammar was once the center of language teaching, then it was degraded to a subordinate and evencancelled position. However, its importance has become more and more prominent. This paper points out that firstly people＇sattitude toward grammar course and the role of grammar in English majors of colleges and universities in China should bechanged. Grammar is not a ＂language straitjacket＂, but a ＂liberating force＂ and a ＂communication resource＂. Taking A NewEnglish Grammar Coursebook compiled by ZHANG Zhenbang as an example, it suggests that in grammar teaching importanceshould be attached to the systematization of grammar, the diversity of teaching methods and the integration of different courses, inorder to motivate students＇ enthusiasm for grammar learning, improve their grammaring and truly achieve the role of＂communicative resource＂ of grammar.
