Environment Protection and Management in Construction Period of Large-scale Hydropower Station——A Case Study of Baihetan Hydropower Station

水电站工程施工周期长、作业面大,会对环境质量和生态造成重大影响。金沙江白鹤滩水电站是目前在建世界第一大水电站,在电站施工过程中研究实施了生态环境保护与管理措施,采取了环境管理、环境监理与监控,先进的环境管理模式、施工粉尘控制技术、生态环境保护与水土保持工程等,有效地预防、减缓了水电工程开发施工过程对环境造成的影响,取得了满意的效果。

Due to the long construction period and large construction area, the construction of large-scale hydropower station project has significant impacts on the environmental quality and ecological system. As the largest hydropower sta- tion being built in the world, specific environment protection and management measures are adopted in the construction of Baihetan I-Iydropower Station, such as the environment management, environment supervision and monitoring, ad- vanced environment management mode, construction dust control technique, eco-environment protection, and soil and water conservation works. With these measures, the environmental impacts of the construction are effectively prevented or mitigated. A satisfactory performance is obtained.
