摘要
现代中国戏剧的发展处在"西学东渐"的客观历史背景下,也处在"寻找良方,求变图存"的主观意愿当中,所以一开始就站在文化发展关系节点上的"传统性与现代化""民族性与国际化"就成为现代中国戏剧发展的两个基本问题。传统性与现代化是一定时间维度上的文化发展问题,民族性与国际化是一个空间领域里的文化关系问题。时间维度上的中国戏剧发展有守成中的嬗变,空间关系上的中国戏剧与外国戏剧有交流中的自我意识觉醒和自我定位的要求,而这种嬗变、觉醒和要求又是在不同的文化背景和历史语境下彰显的。
The development of modern Chinese theatre is situated in the objective historical background of "the eastward transmission of Western sciences", as well as in the subjective willingness of "looking for rec- ipe for transformation and survival". Therefore, "tradition and modernity" and "ethnicity and internationali- zation", which are initially situated at the relationship node of cultural development, became two basic is- sues of modern Chinese theatre. Tradition and modernity is a cultural development issue in a certain tempo- ral dimension while ethnicity and internationalization is a cultural relationship issue in a spacial dimension. There is a conservative transformation in the development of Chinese theatre in the temporal dimension. There are also an awakening of self - awareness and a need of self - position in the exchange between Chi- nese and overseas theatres in the spacial dimension. These transformation, awakening and need are then manifested in different cultural and historical backgrounds.
