Chinese Drama in Singapore in the Anthropological Perspective

新加坡华语话剧从中国传入,已经有一个世纪左右的历史。作为新加坡华侨华人的精神家园,华语话剧在其发展过程中,一方面保留"中华性",一方面还必然走上一条"本土化"的主体重建的道路,以一种崭新的姿态生存于新加坡多元的文化版图中。华语话剧在新加坡处于一种被边缘化的境地,其可持续性发展是新加坡华人文化权诉求的结果。

It has been over one century since Chinese drama transmitted from China to Singapore. As a spiritual home of overseas Chinese in Singapore, Chinese drama, on the one hand, keeps its ＂Chinese-ness＂; on the other hand, progresses inevitably on a ＂localized＂ re -construction road, in its development. Therefore, Chinese drama lives with a new posture in the multi -cultural map of Singapore. However, Chines drama in Singapore is marginalized, and its sustainability is the result of the cultural appeal by the overseas Chinese in Singapore.
