夸美纽斯是在西方教育史上起着承前启后作用的屈指可数的教育家之一,也是近现代教育和教育基本理论最伟大的奠基者之一。到目前为止,他的很多教育思想和教育教学实践都具有一定的先进性和很强的规律性。在《大教学论》一书中,他系统且较为完善地阐述了教学理论基础、教学过程、组织形式、自然主义教育思想,以及教育实施的目的,并且集中性地体现了他的很多重要的教育思想,这些思想理论为近现代的教育发展提供了扎实的基础,对我国乃至世界都具有一定的启发和实践借鉴意义。

Comenius, one of the great figures who played an important role in the history of western education, is also one of the greatest founders of the modern education and education theory.
