The year 2008 witnessed four important UN Security Council resolutions on combating Somalia piracy,which trigger a stream of issues relating to international law.This paper attempts to deal with some issues that attract the public's most attention,such as the grounds for Security Council resolutions,and the resolutions or conventions for application in Somalia as well.Meanwhile,some illustrations have been made as to the rightfulness and lawfulness of China's sending an escort fleet to Somalia.
