Translator's Cognition and Translation Settlement in English Translation of A Record of Buddhist Monasteries in Lo-yang

从叙事的角度看,《洛阳伽蓝记》中多处呈现了作者杨街之的声音,这种声音在很大程度上构成了其文本意图。面对这一叙事现象,不同的译者有着不同的翻译认知。译者认知分析重在析出译者对《洛阳伽蓝记》所采取的认知姿态及相应的翻译处理方式,从而厘清翻译认知如何在深层次上影响典籍翻译决策和翻译话语生产,并最终在整体上塑造译者的自我身份。

From the viewpoint of narration, A Record of Buddhist Monasteries in Lo-yang reveals the author Yang Hsuan-Chih＇s voices in many places, and these voices constitute this classic＇ s textual intention in a large degree. As to such a narrative phenomenon, different translators have different translation cognition on it. In this paper, the translator＇s cognition analysis focuses on presenting the translators＇ cognitive attitudes and their relevant methods of translation settlement, which, therefore, clarifies how these translation cognition profoundly influences classics translation decision and translation discourse production, and finally how the translator＇s identity is constructed on the whole.
