This article analyzes A Level physics assessment from the perspectives of its goal, format and grade report. Its characteristics can be summarized as： a）selective; b）modular; c）experiment operation test; d）grade scores report. The lessons we can draw from the test are： a）increase level in the physics examination; b）report the grade scores; c）introduce experiment operation in the physics examination.
