This paper introduced the new concept of“Active Yield Management”,which can be described as an active process reguhttion mechanism for the different process steps.Under this general new trend,there is no longer just a“Good-Bad”decision for the disc production rather than an automatic process regulation on the one hand,and the tools for real process development and optimization on the other hand.The necessary condition for“Active Yield Management”is precise measurement,which means spectral measurements in many cases.
