Patterned magnetic recording technology

摘要 1引言由于巨磁阻(giant magneto-resistive,GMR)读出磁头、硬盘最大相似性(partial-response maximum likeliness,PRML)信道的应用,以及磁粒尺寸和磁介质薄膜厚度的减小,从1991年起,磁盘存储密度每年以 60%-100%的速度递增。2000年4月,Read-Rite公司开发出一种新型的磁性材料,其存储密度达到50Gbit/ Based on analysis of the difficulties in high density magnetic recording, this article gives the direction of future super high density magnetic recording and analyses the media requirements of patterned magnetic recording. The preparation technology of the patterned magnetic recording media is briefly introduced.
