The DVDR market is currently going through a period of steep growth in its volume life cycle. As a consequence, disc producers are investing in extra capacity and at the same time, drive manufacturers are regularly introducing new recorders that can record at ever faster speeds to single and dual-layer discs in order to remain competitive.
