摘要
随着高清电视节目的日益普及,大容量光盘系统的市场需求也在日益增加。目前,提高光盘容量的主要方法是通过采用短波长的蓝色激光和大数值孔径的物镜来减小读写光斑的尺寸。BD(Blu-ray disc)光盘正是采用了波长为405nm的蓝紫激光器和数值孔径(NA:Numerical Aperture)为0.85的物镜,从而将单面单层光盘的存储容量从4.7GB提高到25GB。
A novel optical disk system constructed from a flexible disk and an air stabilizer is introduced The key feature of the system is an extremely small axial runout as a result of the aerodynamic effect of the stabilizer.The flexible optical disk(FOD)system can achieve an axial runout of less than 5μm across a radial region from 35 to 55mm at a linear velocity of 13 m/s by using a single stabilizer.To put into practical use,the stabilizer control is simplified by using triangularly arranged stabilizers.The suppressed axial runout without active adjustments is sufficiently small of less than 5μm at linear velocities from 5.7 to 13.0 m/s.And then a brand-new stabilizer with a cylindrically concaved active surface is introduced in the FOD system.When a simple adjusts of the relative axial position of the stabilizer against the flexible disk is made,the axial runout is suppressed to less than 10 mm at all rotational speeds from 4,000 to 15,000 rpm. The system is suitable to use a high-NA lens and is expected to increase the data transfer rate and recording capacily for professional broadcast-use.
