The risk of surgical treatment for pelvic organ prolapse in women is 10%. There are various kinds of surgical methods for uterine or vaginal fornix prolapse in pelvic defects. This article reviews the indications, surgical procedures, effects, complications and recurrence preventions of laparoscopic uterine or vaginal sacral fixation.
