The current situation and diseases features of bridges are analyzed,which highlights the importance of detection techniques in the maintenance and management of bridges. Manual inspection,sensor inspection and nondestructive examination are the main methods for bridge situation evaluation. In the paper,the mechanism and features of these methods are analyzed,and the economic efficiency,application scope,and procedures are clarified. The conclusions made can provide references for the scientific strategies of bridge maintenance and management.
