EMM指数和EMM'指数:两种基于改进EM指数和EM'指数学者学术影响力评价指标研究

EMM Index and EMM' Index: Two Evaluation Indexes of Scholars' Academic Influence Based on the Modified EM Index and EM' Index

评价作者学术影响力的科学计量学指标逐年增多。针对h指数、e指数和多维h指数的不足,A.Bihari设计出EM指数和EM'指数,这两种指数在一定程度上能克服上述不足,但是仍存在计算方法不够合理、区分度较低等缺陷,文章在这两种方法的基础上提出EMM指数和EMM'指数。在阐述EMM指数和EMM'指数原理的基础上,比较它们与EM指数和EM'指数的异同。以图书馆学情报学领域部分作者作为研究对象,开展实证研究以分析这4种指标在作者评价过程中的效果。研究结果表明,EMM指数和EMM'指数对作者学术影响力的区分度均高于EM指数和EM'指数,能在作者评价中收到更好的效果。

The scientometrics indexes of evaluating authors＇ academic influence are gradually increasing year by year. To overcome the shortcomings of h-index,e-index and multidimensional h-index,A. Bihari proposes EM index and EM＇ index,which can overcome the inadequacies to some extent,but they still have some shortcomings such as the unreasonable calculation methods and the low discrimination. This paper puts forward EMM index and EMM＇ index on the basis of the above two indexes. On the basis of analyzing the theories of EMM index and EMM＇ index,the differences between the two indexes and EM index and EM＇ index are discussed. Taking the authors in the field of Library and Information Science for example,the effect of the four indexes is analyzed in author evaluation. The results show that the discrimination ability of EMM index and EMM＇ index is better than that of EM index and EM＇ index,which can evaluate authors better.
