玻璃艺术是以富有创造性的方式和方法以“艺术”为主体，“玻璃”为载体的玻璃造型艺术。玻璃艺术是无形的，表达的是一种精神所在，作品具有独一无二性。是创作者利用各种加工技法与玻璃结合后，制作出来的形状独特而且美观的玻璃艺术品。笔者梳理了玻璃工艺的历史发展，从理论和实践两个方面学习了玻璃的工艺技术，并从其工艺技术特点叙述了玻璃在工艺方面的独特性，经过思考和探索从艺术设计与工艺研究、艺术的创新方面对玻璃艺术工艺角色研究进行了实践探索，最后，根据自己的亲身实践创作的经历，用理论来证明是否有其他的可能性。
