美国大学通识教育课程的设置以"核心课程"为主,关注文化、历史、社会、宗教、艺术等对学生的影响。文章通过整理访问美国圣路易斯大学的医学预科课程设置情况,分析其特点与结构,从不同角度总结美国大学通识教育课程对我国大学通识教育课程体系改革的启示。

The reform and system of general education curriculum in American universities are concerned with students＇ concept of whole person. The curriculum system is mainly based on core curriculum focusing on the effects on students from the respects of culture, history, soci- ety, religion, arts, etc. This paper summarizes the Foundation Program of premedical curriculum of St. Louis University, analyzes its characteris- tics and structure and discussed the Enlightenment of American University General Education Curriculum on curriculum reform of general edu- cation in China from different angles.
