英汉-汉英句子层面主语语码转换加工机制的ERP研究

Sentence-Level Processing Mechanism of Subject Code Switching in Chinese Learners of English: An ERP Study

本文利用ERP技术,研究了中国英语学习者在句子层面理解英汉-汉英主语语码转换时的加工机制。研究结果表明:1)加工英汉语码转换时,中国英语学习者的脑电在P200、LAN和LPC这3个成分上都存在显著差异,发生语码转换后产生了更大的P200、LAN和LPC;2)加工汉英语码转换时,中国英语学习者的脑电只在LPC成分上存在显著差异,发生语码转换后产生了更大的LPC;3)英汉、汉英语码转换效应的非对称性表现在ELAN成分上的显著差异,英汉比汉英主语语码转换产生了更大的ELAN。据此,本研究认为中国英语学习者在句子层面存在英汉、汉英主语语码转换效应及其非对称性。

Based on ERP technology,the present paper explores the underlying mechanisms of the code switching by analyzing the ERPs elicited by code switched Chinese sentence subjects and code switched English sentence subjects for Chinese learners of English. ERP data analyses indicate that: 1) code switched Chinese subjects respectively produce a larger P200( 180 ~ 280 ms),LAN( 200 ~ 480 ms) and LPC( 400 ~ 640 ms) than non-code switched English subjects do; 2) code switched English subjects produce a larger LPC( 360 ~ 700 ms) than non-code switched Chinese subjects do; 3) asymmetry of switching effects exists between 150 ~ 300 ms time windows( ELAN)when comparing the waves of subject switching from Chinese to English and from English to Chinese,and a larger ELAN is found for code switching from English to Chinese. Therefore,we conclude that there exist code switching effects and their asymmetry for Chinese learners of English in sentence contexts.
