摘要
本文以"技能成分分析"为框架,探讨6项阅读技能成分(音位加工、工作记忆、语义加工、句法加工、篇章结构加工、策略加工)对大学生英语阅读理解的相对重要性。研究以181名本科生为被试,采用以6项阅读技能成分为自变量、阅读能力为因变量的多元回归分析方法。结果显示,语义加工、句法加工和篇章结构加工对阅读理解的影响最大,策略加工次之,音位加工、工作记忆影响较小。这一结果有助于指导教师有重点、分层次、系统地对影响阅读的技能进行训练,以提高学生的阅读能力。
This study explored the relative significance of the componential skills( i. e.,phonological processing,working memory, semantic/syntactic/discourse/strategic processing skills) on Chinese college students ' EFL reading comprehension. A total of 181 Chinese college students participated in the study,and correlation and multiple regression analyses were employed. The results indicated three component skills,i. e.,semantic/syntactic/discourse processing skills had bigger impact on reading comprehension. Strategic processing skill was of secondary impact.Phonological processing skill and working memory played the least role in reading comprehension. Implications for EFL reading instruction were discussed.
