The Application of Bamboo in Modern Tea Set Design

探讨竹材的特性以及竹材作为可持续环保材料在茶具设计中的应用。首先,将收集的相关实物资料分类、汇总,解读竹材物理及文化特性,对其肌理、视觉、环保、文化及工艺特性方面进行提炼和概括;其次,通过因子分析法提取蕴含于传统竹材中的色彩、线条和纹理,并在此基础上根据形状文法进行形态推演;最后,将推演结果应用于现代茶具设计中。以竹材为切入点,并基于竹材特性进行创新,创新过程中注重与现代茶具形态语言的融合,探索现代极简主义与传统茶道精神的关系。

This paper discusses the characteristics of bamboo, as well as its application in modern tea set design as a sustainable material. Firstly, the collected materials were classified and summarized, the physical and cultural characteristics of bamboo were analyzed, and the perspectives of texture, vision, environmental protection and cultural identity were refined and summarized. And then, authors of this paper used factor analysis method to extract the color, line and texture. Based on the previous result, the shape deduction was conducted. And finally, the deduction results were applied into the design of modern tea set. Authors of this paper took bamboo as a breakthrough point and then innovated in the characteristics of bamboo, integrating with the pattern language of modern tea set and exploring the relationship of modern minimalism design and the spirit of tea ceremony.
