The New Mission of Ideological and Political Education from the Perspective of Socialist Democracy with Chinese Characteristics

改革开放以来,中国特色社会主义民主政治取得了新发展,这就要求思想政治教育要教育广大人民群众形成对中国共产党的领导、对社会主义制度以及对习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的高度认同。推进全面深化改革要求思想政治教育帮助人们树立改革开放的信心,并保证改革开放的社会主义方向;依法治国的推进要求思想政治教育加大法律知识传播的力度和广度,同时要帮助人们形成法治思维,形成法治文化;全面从严治党要求思想政治教育要把党员干部的理想信念的培养放在首位,要强化对共产党领导的政治认同的塑造,强化对执政党建设规律的研究。

Since the reform and opening up, a new development has been made in the socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics. This requires the masses to form a high recognition of the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the socialist system and Xi Jinping＇s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the New Era. To push forward the overall deepening o{ reform requires ideological and political education to help people build up their confidence in reform and opening up and ensure the socialist direction of reform and opening up. The promotion of the rule of law requires ideological and political education to increase the intensity and breadth of the dissemination of legal knowledge, and help people to form the thinking and culture of the rule of law. To strictly govern the party in an overall way requires us to give priority to the cultivation of Party cadres and members＇ ideals and beliefs, strengthen the political identification of the Communist Party leadership and strengthen the research on the rule of the ruling party＇s construction.
