Agriculture, Ritual and Merit—— A Study of Huang Daozhou's Thought of Yueling Mingyi

明末大儒黄道周的《月令明义》是《月令》诠释史上有代表性而且风格独特的一部著作,也是黄道周后期《礼记》五解之一。该书的核心思想与传统视域下的《月令》旨归相一致,《明义》发扬《月令》本身所突出强调的农政王道,从政治律令、政治伦理、政治哲学三个角度展现出"农本—民本—人本"的政治思想模式,而其王道思想则可概括为"农事—礼乐—会计"的总纲,体现了儒家农本民本思想与提倡仁政德政的主张。

Yueling Mingyi by the great Confucian Huang Daozhou in the late Ming Dynasty is a representative and unique work to interpret Yueling （proceedings of government in different months）, and also one of the five interpretations of Liji （Book of Rites） in Huang＇s late years. The book followed the core idea traditionally highlighted by Yueling, emphasiz- ing agricultural and governing policy--embodying ＂agriculture-, peasant- and people-based political thought from the perspective of political law, political ethics and political philosophy and reflecting the Confucianism and the idea of benevolence through the governing philosophy of ＂agriculture, ritual and merit＂.
