During the course of thermodynamics teaching, the conception of partial molar volume is important but very abstract. Teachers usually emphasizes itsdefinition and formula derivation, butignores its practicalapplica- tion, resulting that students don＇ t know the meaning of partial molar volume. In this paper, we introduce some calcu- lation of partial molar volume from RK, SRK, and PR equation. Then we describe some application of partial molar volume in field of microscope structure of ethanol - water solution, CO2 solubility in ionic liquids and protein re- search.
