科技的发展正以神奇的力量改变着人们的思维方式和生活方式,也不断地改善着四川的面貌,使巴山蜀水呈现出一片勃勃生机。 建国45年来,四川科技事业蓬勃发展。一个门类比较齐全、学科配套、同经济建设紧密结合的科学技术研究、开发、服务体系,已经在全省范围内建立起来,为“天府之国”的物质文明与精神文明建设作出了重大贡献。 21世纪将是一个高科技发展的时代,活跃在高科技第一线的科研人员,都有一种使命感,即振兴经济首先要振兴科技,这样才能在全球竞争中赢得主动。四川的科技人才以高度的爱国热情,忘我的拼搏与无私的奉献精神,积极投身于社会主义中国的改革开放与四化建设中来。目前,四川已拥有一批数量可观、门类比较齐全的人才队伍,截止1992年底,仅四川地方系统全民所有制单位的专业技术人员就达153.65万人（其中,高级专业技术人员4.4万人。
With high-tech development confronted in the coming 21st century, the workers who are engaged in scientific and technological researches are well aware of the historical task assigned to them. The development of economy is based on the development of science. It is they who are committed to the pioneering cause of economic development of the province which largely depends on the development of science. With great patriotic enthusiasm and responsibility, they are devoted to China’s Socialist reform and moderniz a tions.At present, a powerful contingent of scientific and technical personnel has formed in great number covering all the productive fields of the province. By the end of 1992, Sichuan had 1,530,000 scientific researchers only in the collectively-owned units, making up 26.8% of the total of the stuff workers of the unrts.
