簇桥古镇始建于三国时期,距今已有1800多年历史,位于成都市西南郊3公里处,是古代成都西通康藏、南接滇缅的重镇,也是南方丝绸之路的第一个驿站。
Cuqiao Village, three kilometers from the south suburbs of Chengdu, covering an area of 28 square kilometers, is on the vital communication line in and out of Chengdu, close to the highways from Sichuan to Tibet, Chengdu to Leshan and the expressway to Shuangliu International Airport. Cuqiao accommodates some 3,500 township enterprises, which cover the industrial sectors of furniture, building materials, machine-building, electrical cable and metallurgy. As the sole state-level experimental village in Chengdu appointed by the State Commission for Restructuring Economy among the national 50 in total, Cuqiao enjoys all preferential policies given by the state.
