IN February, the author of this article made a special trip to Shanxi and watched Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River. By train it took me one night to go to Linfen City and then by bus 4 hours to arrive at Hukou in Jixian County and HukouWaterfall was there. While travellers are walking in the direction of Hukou Waterfall, at first the roar of Waterfall can be heard, the ground can feel shivering beneath feet and then the violent torrents pouring down from the upper reachesof the Yellow River is in sight, just like wild horses galloping ahead and lions roaring. How magnificent it is!The 300-m-wide upper reaches of the Yellow River is narrowed into tens-of-metre width at Hukou, which forms a wild-horse-rushing-down yellow waterfall---famous Hukou Waterfall. All the year round, the Waterfall keeps pouring down and splashes huge breakers with water fog, producing super colourful rainbows in the sunshine.
