Industrialization: A Promising Future for Shanxi Agriculture

我省实施农业产业化战略,从1995年阳泉小康建设现场会正式提出,至今已有三年时间。三年来,各地从自己的资源优势出发,着力培养主导产业,积极兴办农产品加工企业。

In 1997, agricultural industrialization in Shanxi Province registered an amazing progress. As the main contents, two large enterprises---Shanyin Gucheng Dairy Group and Gaoping Beverage Group received stalwart support and four enterprises engaged in processing agricultural and sideline products were established. The leadiug industry of agricultural industrialized management began to take shape, the productive bases have been built in the main, the leading enterprises have begun to start and the market construction maintained a good momentum. In the future, the province will adopt the following four measures to promote the agricultural industrialization: (1) giving full play to regional advantages and fostering leading industry; (2) concentrate major efforts to develop leading enterprises; (3)strengthening market construction; and (4) improving income through multi-channel.
