This year’ s budget is 6.7 billion yuan, a 31 percent increase over last years’ 5.1 billion yuan.From 1998 to 2000, Shanxi will invest 2l billion yuan in 14 expressways with a total mileage of 1048 kilometers. Among them will be Yuanpin to Taiyuan, Taiyuan to South, Qixian to Linfen, Linfen to Houroa, Houma to Ynmen, Houma to Yuaneheng, Yuncheng to Fenlindu, Yuneheng to Pinglu, Jinchen to Jiaozuo, Changzhi to Handan, Datong to Yuanping, Datong to Beijing, Luocheng to Xiajiayin and Xiajiayin to Fenyang.It is estimated that 36.9 billion yuan worth of gross domestic production will be created and more than 700, 000 job oppor tunities will be provided.
