不断扩建发展的太原第一热电厂

Taiyuan No. 1 Thermal Power Plant in Progress

山西太原第一热电厂位于龙山脚下,晋阳之滨,南望三晋名胜晋祠,有着独天独厚的发展电力的条件,它于1953年兴建,1955年投产。

Sitting at the foot of Longshan and overlooking Jinyang Lake, Taiyuan No. 1 Thermal Power Plant was built in 1953 and put into production in 1955. It is the first heat and power plant built in North China as well as one of the 156 key works constructed in the first Five- Year Plan period. After five years of construction, its total installed capacity has been undated to 786 megawatts. Ten furnaces and seven generating sets with a capacity of 186 megawatts were installed during previous phases. Two sets of 300 megawatts were installed in the fifth phase and put into operation in 1991 and 1992.To cope with the increasing demand for electricity of Taiyuan City, the sixth phase of expansion is now in construction and the first set of 300 megawatts will be put into production in August, 1998. By 1999 when all sets start to generate power, the plant’s total installed capacity will hit 1436 megawatts and the plant will stand as the largest of its kind in the power grids of Sh anxi.
