摘要
评价是一种很重要的能力,有助于学生认知和思维能力的发展。通过语料库方法,对中国大学生英语作文中的20个高频评价动词进行研究,结果表明:与美国大学生相比,中国大学生在英语作文中对评价动词的使用上存在一些问题,他们超用某些评价动词但同时对某些动词的使用存在不足,这可能与教材输入不足和学生语体差异不敏感有关。
Evaluation is an important aspect of the abilities for students' cognitive and thinking development. This corpus-based study of 20 frequently used evaluative verbs within Attitudinal System in Chinese college students' English writing indicated that compared with their American counterparts,Chinese college students were found problematic in using some of these evaluative verbs in their writing,they over-used some while under-used others,which could be attributed to inadequate input from college English textbooks and students' insensitivity to stylistic difference.
