Rhythm training is a requisite step in music education. Long Xiaoyun,the editor-in-chief of the textbook of The Training Course of Drum Dance Rhythm of Chinese Ethnic Groups has made three breakthroughs from traditional rhythm teaching materials with unique structure arrangement,ethnic rhythm content and vivid teaching form. The textbook constructs a vertical and stereo rhythm training teaching model focused on the rhythm of drum dance and ethnic music. It not only enriches the content and classroom teaching model of rhythm teaching,represents the development trend of diversification and localization of musical education,but also reflects the compiler＇s new ideas of rhythm teaching.
