Zhang Jian is China＇s modern famous industrialist and educationalist, whose life for the purpose of saving the nation is engaged in industry and education activities. Era, personal and practical factors make his industrial education thought with rich content, integrited system and unique characteristics.The thought has important influence on the modernization of Nan Tong and the formation and development of later＇s vocational education thought, and also has important enlightenment to the development of vocational education in China today.
