中国特色社会主义道路自信、理论自信、制度自信和文化自信共同构成一个具有内在特定结构和功能的有机整体，构建起了对中国特色社会主义的自信。“四个自信”各有侧重，又内在统一，坚定“四个自信”客观上要求必须注重实践、着力于维护好人民群众的根本利益和承继与弘扬中华民族优良传统，并具备开阔的国际视野和锐意创新的时代精神。
