The socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, so has the development of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. In his report to the 19^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China （CPC）, General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed that we should adhere to the socialist cultural path with Chinese characteristics, stimulate the whole nation＇s cultural innovation and creativity, and develop a strong socialist culture. The report sheds light on the role of culture and cultural development, the stance on culture in the new era, the measures to develop culture and the direction and destination ahead. Publicity and ideological personnel should conscientiously learn and implement the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress, strengthen cultural confidence, and strive to make socialist culture flourish.
