With the deepening of teaching reform, the cultivation of innovation and practice ability has become the important education direction in China. In traditional English teaching, the teaching process is dominated by teacher unilateral explanation and unable to mobilize students＇ learning enthusiasm because of the lack of understanding students＇ subject position, which cannot let the student think independently or contribute to the cultivation of innovative thinking. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate the traditional English teaching model by cultivating students＇ innovative thinking so as to improve the level of English teaching. TRIZ theory is a theoretical system that utilizes scientific methods to solve problems and to cultivate people＇s innovative application ability. The application of TRIZ theory can effectively improve students＇ innovative thinking.
