Research Progress of Klotho Gene in the Pathogenesis and Development of Diabetic Nephropathy

糖尿病肾病（DN）是糖尿病代谢异常引发的肾小球硬化症，是国内外引起终末期肾病的常见病因。研究表明在患有糖尿病肾病的人和动物体内，Klotho的表达均有减少，而通过上调Klotho基因的表达可以明显改善糖尿病肾病的进程，但其中具体的机制仍不清楚。该文就Klotho基因对糖尿病肾病的保护作用机制作一综述。

Diabetic nephropathy （DN） is a glomerulosclerosis caused by the metabolic disorder of diabetes mellitus, and is the common cause of end-stage renal disease at home and abroad as well. Studies have shown that there is a decreasing impression of Klotho gene in the body of people or animals with diabetes nephropathy, however, the progression of diabetic nephropathy can be obviously improved by up-regulating Klotho gene expression, but the specific mechanism is still unclear. This assay just makes a review of the protective mechanism of Klotho gene on diabetic nephropathy.
