XU Te-li and the Eighth Route Army’s Communication Office in Hunan Province

1937年底至1940年8月,徐特立受命组建八路军驻湘通讯处并主持相关工作。在此期间,他无畏无惧、光明磊落宣传中国共产党的抗日主张,真诚坦荡、不遗余力开展抗日民族统一战线工作,热情无私、真诚以待做好青年工作,为动员和组织湖南人民投入抗日救亡的伟大斗争,推动湖南抗日救亡运动的高涨作出了卓越的贡献。

From the end of 1937 to August 1940, XU was appointed to form the communication office of the Eighth Route Army and to chair the relevant work. During this period, he propagandized anti-Japanese idea of the communist party of China fearlessly and with nothing to hide, spared no effort to carry out the anti-Japanese national united front work sincerely, and did a good job in the youth with great enthusiasm and selflessness. Consequently, XU made outstanding contributions to mobilizing and organizing Hunanese in the great straggle for the anti-Japanese war and to promoting the movement rise of Hunan anti-Japanese war.
