Retrospect and Prospect of Medical Research on the Silk Road

丝路医药研究与敦煌西域出土文献研究息息相关,丝路医药研究的主要材料是出土文献,其次才是传世文献与文物。通过系统梳理百年来敦煌西域出土医学文献的研究,按时间分为:形成期、发展期、繁盛期、鼎盛期和由盛及衰期五个阶段;并结合既往研究尚有不足的地方,提出寻找新材料,研究新问题;既有材料需精耕细作;东中段丝路医药文化的深研与开拓;西段丝路医药的传播与海上丝路医药的传播及对丝路医药本身的深入研究五点展望。

Medical research on the Silk Road is closely related to the research on the literature unearthed in Dunhuang and Western Regions（Xiyu）. The main material of medical research on the Silk Road is the unearthed literature, followed by handed-down literature and relics. This article systematically pieces together the researches on the medical literature unearthed in Dunhuang and Western Regions（Xiyu） in the past 100 years and divides them into five stages according to the time such as the formation period, the development period, the prosperous period, the heyday period and the prosperity and decline period. A five-point outlook such as search for new materials, research on new questions; research on old materials; research on culture intensive and meticulous farming on Middle East silk road; deepen research and development of medicine; western medicine spread on the Sea Silk Road, medical communication and research on the silk road itself. has also been put forward in this article on the basis of the shortcomings in previous studies.
