Objective To discuss potential pathogenesis of HIF-1α and TREM-1 in psoriasis. Methods Immunohischemistry and realtime-PCR were used to detect expression of HIF-1α and TREM-1 in normal skins and psoriasis lesions, and the relationship between TREM-1 and HIF-1α in psoriasis were analyzed. Results The expression of HIF-1α and TREM-1 were limited to stratum basele in normal skin, while they expressed in the psoriasis lesions, however, in the whole epidermis. The expression levels of HIF-1α and TREM-1 in psoriatic lesions were significantly higher than that in normal tissues(P〈0.05).Moreover,the expression of HIF-1α was positively correlated with the expression of TREM-1 in psoriasis vulgaris(P〈0.05).Conclusion The higher expression of HIF-1α and TREM-1 which participate in the same mechanism may play an important role in pathogenesis of psoriasis. Therefore, TREM-1 will be the potential therapeutic target of psoriasis.
