基于SPICE协议的视频处理改进方案

An Improved Video Processing Strategy Based on SPICE Protocol

摘要 桌面虚拟化的快速发展给人们带来意想不到的便利,但当前的云桌面协议还存在着许多问题,其中很重要的一个问题便是视频处理能力不足的问题。针对云桌面协议SPICE存在的播放视频时带宽占用率高等问题,提出使用MPEG4视频压缩标准替换原SPICE视频压缩算法MJPEG,以对SPICE协议的视频传输部分进行改进,从而大大减小视频传输的冗余量。实验表明改进后的协议在进行视频传输时极大地降低带宽。 The rapid development of desktop virtualization has brought unexpected convenience to people, but there are still many problems exist in the current eloud desktop protocols, one of important of those is insufficient capacity for processing the video. Targeting at the high band- width occupancy during video playing in cloud desktop protocol SPICE protocol, proposes the use of MPEG4 video compression algorithm to replace the original compression algorithm (MJPEG) to improve performance of the video playing of SPICE protoeol, which can greatly re- duce the redundancy of video transmission. Experiments show that the improved protocol reduces the bandwidth of 50% or more when vid- eo transmission is carried out.
