This paper analyzes the source and hazard of the slag in the hot metal in steel-making plant No.2,and a simple and fast method for measuring the slag quantity in the hot metal is introduced,which can rapidly measure the slag quantity in the hot metal and also provide a reference to control the slag quantity in the hot metal from the blast forrace.
