This thesis focuses on the basic properties of saline soil groundwork and its harm to the railway, the problems that need special attention in the construction preparation stage, and the construction method of saline soil roadbed of heavy haul railway. The practical application at Jingshen railway proves that this method is simple and practical, and the effect is good. Its benefits come from many aspects, such as drawing on local resources, environmental protection, ecology and economy etc.
