Women in the Plight of Multiple Social Identities——Feminism in The Woman Warrior

以女性主义批评理论为基础,用文本细读的方法,结合身份研究对美籍华裔作家汤亭亭的女权主义作品《女勇士》进行重新解读。首先,女性的多重社会身份都可能会成为制约她的枷锁,且这些身份枷锁有机地联系着。其次,小说中的四位主要女性人物形象除了具有共同的身份枷锁以外,她们作为女性的人生经历能说明女性历来所承受的压力的变化。对女性多重社会身份困境的揭示,能够在弄清女性事实处境的基础上,试图寻找女性未来的走向。

Based on feminist criticism, vie using the method of close reading combined with identity research, this paper explains Chinese American writer Tang Tingting＇ s feminist works The Woman Warrior. Firstly, female multiple social identities are likely to restrict their chains which are in organic connection with identity. Secondly, the four main female characters in the novel have a common identity as women outside chains and their life experience so changes that women are always under pressure. To reveal their social identity dilemma, which is based on the fact that women understand the situation, we try to find the future of women.
