由自然选择进化而来的童年期,既是一个动态的历史的生理概念,也是一个诗学意义上的文化概念。作为生理性的事实,童年一直都存在着,无论是对于世界各地的童工,抑或是学堂里的儿童。而后者,正是作为现代童年观的产物。从中世纪的童年到如今消费时代背景下的童年,尽管样态各一,但就本体论上而言,却呈现某种共性,这种共性超越了具体的历史、阶层,也不特指时间意义上的生命的最初时段,而是指向一种诗性的人文童年。

Childhood evolving from natural selection is not only a dynamic physiological concept,but also a cultural concept with poetic meaning. As a physiological fact,childhood has always existed whether it is for the child labor around the world or for the children at school. And the latter is just the product of modern childhood view. From the childhood in the Middle Ages to that in the current context of consumption,there exists something in common in terms of ontology despite the differences. The commonality goes beyond the concrete history and the stratum,and it refers to a humanistic childhood with poetic meaning instead of the initial stage of life from the perspective of time.
