个人的进步或者退步,往往是在社会的"要挟"下的被动生存,或者是自然地生存,因为个人的生活与生存永远是原教旨主义的。个人为了不被社会"抛弃"或者"边缘化",个人要么跟着社会的要求走,要么"识时务者为俊杰",要么自然而然地活着:不以物喜,不以己悲。这是以技术为王道的时代,技术成为衡量人的杠杆。技术属于"文明"范畴,"做人"属于"文化"范畴,人不能完全逃避时代。从大的文明或者生活方式来说,中国社会处于从农耕文明向工业文明转型的初期,农耕文明以内在精神为核心,工业文明以外显物化为核心。在这个"文明"时代,质量成为对教师的一个核心要求趋势,教师如何在"文化"与"文明"之间翻跟头,既是时代的话题,更是教师能不能吃这碗饭的切身利益。

A person＇s progress or retrogression is often a passive existence under the ＂threat＂of society or a natural existence,because personal life and survival always follow fundamentalism.In order not to be＂abandoned＂or ＂marginalized＂,aperson may either follow the social mainstream or live the way as he likes,not pleased by external gains,not saddened by personal losses.In the modern technologydominated era,technology makes people stratified on the social ladder,and becomes the yardstick for evaluating people.Technology belongs to the category of ＂civilization＂,and ＂being human being＂belongs to the category of ＂culture＂,and people can not completely escape from the era.From the perspective of broad civilization or life style,Chinese society is in the early stage of transformation from agrarian civilization to industrial civilization.Agro civilization takes the inner spirit as the core while the industrial civilization takes the externalized materialism as its core.Just like Huntington said, ＂Human history is the history of civilization.It is impossible to think of human development in any other way.＂In this era of ＂civilization＂,quality has become a core requirement for teachers.In the age of ＂culture＂and＂civilization＂,quality is becoming a core requirement of teachers.It is not only the theme of the era,but also the vital interests of teachers.I think that teachers should understand the ＂Those who suit their actions to the times are wise＂.Today,being a teacher is such a challenge!
