浅谈目标管理理论在高校安全管理工作中的应用

Application of Management by Objective in Security Management of Institutions of Higher Education

高校安全管理工作是高校行政管理工作的重要组成部分。近年来,高校公共安全事故的频发凸显出高校安全管理体制的滞后和被动,亟待创新。本文从分析彼德·德鲁克的目标管理理论入手,阐述了高校安全管理工作面临的挑战极其现状,在此基础上提出高校安全管理工作必须用目标管理方式才能适应社会环境的变迁的结论。并详尽论述了目标管理方式在高校安全管理工作中的具体实施和应用。

Security management is an important component of administrative management in institutions of higher education. Recent years have witnessed many public security accidents, which indicate that the security management system require creative development. Management by objective is an object oriented, man centered and achievement standardized modern method of administration, which helps the organi-zations and individuals pursue optimal achievement. Management by objective (MBO), or management by results, is always defined as a responsibility system. This method could improve security management's efficiency in institutions of higher education effectively, in response to the challenges of socialization of the higher-learning institutions. This paper, applying the theory of MBO, explains challenges and current situations of the security management in higher-learning institutions, and comes to a conclusion that the security management requires the MBO to meet environmental changes. After that, it discusses the specific application in security management of institutions of higher education.
