网络政党类型是政党类型学研究的一大理论创新,网络政党已经成为主流政党范式的补充性而非替代性的类型。要辩证分析网络参与提升党内民主水平的功效,只有当政党积极主动利用互联网新信息交流技术进行组织革新时,政党内部的组织结构、党内沟通联系机制、参与机制以及开放性建设等四个方面才会发生较为明显的变化。网络政党面临的关键性挑战是如何对待领导层权力与政党组织权力之间的关系,领导层权威与组织权威相协调是政党建设的核心目标。
