摘要
设计了一种集成在硅基OLED微显示芯片上的电源管理单元(PMU).该PMU采用Cuk型DC-DC变换器和LDO相结合的新型结构,其中Cuk电路采用PWM调制的峰值电流控制模式输出负电压,同时Cuk电路产生的脉冲电压经过滤波得到直流电压,该电压通过LDO模块输出正电压.电路的整体设计和仿真在SMIC 0.18μm1.8V/5VCMOS数模混合工艺下完成,仿真结果表明,在2MHz开关频率和3.3V标准输入电压条件下,输出正电压在2~5.5V范围内可调,输出负电压在-2^-5.5V范围内可调,纹波均小于5mV.输出正、负电压的线性调整率分别为5mV/V和20mV/V,负载调整率分别为0.04mV/mA和0.15mV/mA,满足PMU的设计指标.
A power management unit (PMU) is proposed that can be integrated in the OLED-on-Silicon micro- display devices. The PMU uses a new structure that combine a Cuk type DC-DC converter and low drop-out voltage regulator(LDO). The DC-DC converter is used to generate negative voltage output with PWM modulation, meanwhile the LDO generates positive voltage output. The PMU is designed under SMIC 0. 18 μm 1.8V/5V CMOS mix-signal process. With the 3. 3 V input power voltage, the output voltage has an adjustable positive voltage range of 2 - 5.5 V along and a negative voltage range of -2 - -5. 5 V. The simulation results show that the output ripple of voltage is less than 5 mV. The positive and negative voltage output linear regulation is 5 mV/V and 20mV/V. Also, a load regulation of 0. 04 mV/mA and 0. 15 mV/mA is designed to meet the PMU specification.
