世界新兴大学是建立时间较短,通过采用不同于传统大学的办学体制和知识生产方式,获得全球卓越声誉,并表现出持续发展潜力的大学。世界新兴大学的发展主要依托政府的强力推动、高等教育系统的稳定与多元、小而精的发展战略、国际化发展方向、创业型的发展道路以及现代化的组织治理结构而实现。我国要发展世界新兴大学需要在政策上惠及年轻大学、建立多元分类评价体系,以及提升国际化和创新创业水平等。

The World Emerging University are a university that has a relatively short history since establishment and has achieve a global reputation for excellence and demonstrating sustainable development potential by adopting an education system and mode of knowledge production different from traditional universities. The development of the World Emerging Universities mainly rely on the governments＂ strong promotion, the stability and diversification of higher education system, the development strategies of ＂small but exquisite＂, internationalization direction, the entrepreneurial development road and the modern structure of organization governance. To develop the World Emerging Universities, China needs to benefit young universities in policies, establish multivariate classification evaluation system, and enhance their capacities of internationalization, innovation and entrepreneurship.
