Discussion About TCM Theory of Five Elements from the Aspect of Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Gastritis

精神心理因素造成的难治性慢性胃炎病机与中医情志因素对肝脏正常疏泄功能的破坏从而造成的脾胃功能异常相近。中医理论中肝、脾两脏在五行中分别归属木、土。而木克土,土虚木乘,临床则症见胁肋胀痛,早饱,反酸等。根据五行学说此为相乘,治则抑木补土,通过养血柔肝,疏肝理气,补脾和胃等治法可取得良好疗效。

Pathogenesis of chronic gastritis due to psychological factors is extremely similar to abnormal spleen-stomach function due to TCM emotional factors leading to destroying normal liver conveyance and dispersion. According to TCM theory,in the five elements,liver and spleen belong to wood and earth respectively,but wood restricts earth. When earth is deficient,wood will be multiplied,which is clinically manifested as hypochondrium distending pain,early fullness,sour regurgitation,etc. According to the theory of five elements,this phenomenon belongs to multiplication. Therefore the treatment principle should be restricting wood and reinforcing earth,such as nourishing blood and liver,dispersing stagnated hepatoqi,tonifying spleen and harmonize stomach,etc. in order to achieve good clinical curative effects.
